Go to the first road to the left, where Scatter Ridge road makes a sharp turn to the right. This is Lake Hill Road. Turn left and go a short distance to the trailhead. Alternatively, go to Strouds Run State Park on Strouds Run Road, continue through the park, and go up the hill on the far side, bearing right at the top of the hill onto East Scatter Ridge Road. Bear right at every intersection until you reach the trailhead.

Dow Lake Dam

Go east on US Route 50 (OH 32) from Athens a short distance to the Dow Lake Dam turnoff (to the left). Park in the parking lot.
